Goa Election 2022: Aam Aadmi Party Porvorim candidate Ritesh Chodankar Along with his Wife Filed his Nomination on Thursday

Days ahead of the Goa Assembly Election 2022, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday released its sixth list of candidates for the upcoming polls. Party’s sixth list has names of three candidates and with this, the AAP has announced candidates for 36 of the 40 seats. In the latest list, AAP has fielded Advocate Sunil Loran from Vasco Da Gama seat, Advocate Prasad Shahapurkar from Mandrem constituency, and party leader Ritesh Chodankar from Porvorim.

Entrepreneur and Social Activist Ritesh Chodankar is a prominent businessman and social activist in Porvorim and is famous for helping residents during the lockdown, especially with Oximeters. Aam Aadmi Party Porvorim candidate Ritesh Chodankar Along with his wife filed his nomination on Thursday.

Talking to SNI News Agency, Ritesh Chodankar Said, ''We have already completed the first phase of the door-to-door campaign and now we are going to start the second phase from tomorrow. If I win this election, I will try my best to make Goa corruption-free. Also, I will do lots of developments for Goans. So I request voters of Porvorim to vote for development and betterment for goa''.

Chodankar is an entrepreneur with over 28 years of experience in various fields like Education, Engineering, Telecom Hospitality, BFSI, Hospitality & Real Estate and is also the Founder of Kamlabai Chodankar Charitable trust and has been associated with various NGOs.

Chodankar joined the party as he was deeply impressed by how the party helped Goenkars during the pandemic even without a single MLA. He was impressed by how the party provided food to families of those Covid affected, did a door-to-door campaign providing oximeter check-up services, and even went out of their way to help provide oxygen cylinders. Chodankar said this kind of service is what is missing in other parties. Chodankar was also impressed by Arvind Kejriwal’s first two promises regarding electricity and jobs. He said that AAP was genuinely working on issues impacting Goenkars.
